Collection, use, sharing and retention of the information submitted here.
Scope
Information reaches cmmcalibrationkansascity.com in two ways: from the requests submitted through it, and from the ordinary technical record a browser leaves behind. This policy covers both, states what each is used for, and sets out the commercial arrangement that sits behind a request. It applies to this website and to every request sent from it.

Referral and Marketing Disclosure
cmmcalibrationkansascity.com is a marketing and referral website operated by Kansas City CMM Calibration and Repair. It is not a calibration laboratory, and no CMM Calibration work is carried out by the operator of this site.
Requests submitted here are passed to external laboratories. Those laboratories hold their own accreditation, work under their own quality management systems, and issue their own certificates and reports in their own name. They are selected on evidence of current accreditation and scope, demonstrated capability for the measurement being requested, and record of delivery.
The operator of this website is paid in connection with that introduction. Payment may take the form of a referral fee, a fixed fee for the use of this website, or a commission on work that is placed. That payment does not change the price you are quoted, and it gives the operator no role in performing, approving or certifying any measurement. It is stated here plainly, and again in the terms of business. The commercial relationship behind this site is disclosed, not implied.
Information Collected
Two kinds of information are collected.
The first is what you provide with a request:
- name, company, email address and telephone number
- the item, the quantity, the measurement points and the tolerances
- the standard required and the turnaround needed
The second is the ordinary technical information a browser sends — IP address, browser and device type, the referring page, and the pages viewed on this site.
No payment card details are collected through this website.
How Information Is Used
What you send with a request is used for the request: reviewing it, obtaining a quotation from a laboratory able to perform the work, and corresponding with you about it. What the server records is used to keep the site available and secure, and to understand which pages are used.
Information collected here is not sold, rented or traded, and it is not supplied to any third party for that party to market from.
Recipients
Sharing is limited to what the work needs. The laboratory or laboratories asked to quote or perform receive the request; the providers who host this website, deliver its email or supply its analytics receive what their service requires. Those providers act on instructions, and using the information for their own purposes is not permitted.
Two further cases are stated for completeness: disclosure required by law, and access exercised by an accreditation body over the records of a laboratory performing work.
Confidentiality of Customer Information
Anything technical that arrives with a request — drawings, specifications, tolerances, measurement data, results — is held in confidence on the same basis as the confidentiality obligations that apply to accredited laboratory work. Only those who need it to prepare a quotation or complete the work are given it.
Should the law compel a disclosure, you are told that it has been made. The single exception is a case where telling you is itself prohibited.
Cookies
Cookies are used here for two things and no others: to make the site function, and — where analytics is enabled — to count visits in aggregate. Blocking or deleting them is possible in most browsers. Doing so does not prevent use of this site, though a submitted form may then not be recorded correctly.
Keeping and Deleting Records
Nothing is kept indefinitely. Inquiry records are held while they are needed to answer the request and to meet accounting and record-keeping obligations, then deleted or stripped of identifying detail. The performing laboratory retains its own records under its own records policy.
Access, Correction and Deletion
Ask, through the contact page, and you will be told what information is held about you; ask and it will be corrected; ask and it will be deleted. Thirty days is the answering period. Every marketing email sent carries an unsubscribe link, and an unsubscribe request is honored on receipt.
Updates and Governing Law
This statement may be updated. The version published at cmmcalibrationkansascity.com is the version that applies. It is governed by the laws of Missouri.
