RFQ
Request a Quote
Send the item detail and the turnaround required; a written quotation is returned.
What to Include
The first message can carry everything a quotation needs. Send these six:
- Item. Manufacturer, model or type, range, and quantity.
- Measurement. The points, ranges or parameters that must be covered.
- Tolerance. The specification the item is held to, and whether a statement of conformity is required.
- Standard. Any standard, customer specification or accreditation requirement the work must satisfy.
- Turnaround. The date the item is needed back, and whether expedited handling should be priced.
- Engagement type. Whether the item is shipped in, collected, or the work is carried out on site.
Any detail not supplied is requested before pricing proceeds — including it now avoids the delay. Quotations are written documents and stand for thirty days unless they state a different period.
Submit a Request
Requests are assessed against available capacity and answered within one business day. An urgent marker in the scope field lifts the request within the existing queue rather than diverting it elsewhere.

Before You Send
Quotations are issued under stated terms. Validity, payment, turnaround and liability are set out in the terms and conditions. How results are reported, and what a certificate does and does not state, is covered on the disclaimer page.
